I was in Vi®t Nam last February 1999 for the New Year of the Cat. Arriving in Tân S½n Nh¤t airport, I felt a great happiness to be able to act like a Vietnamese citizen. After all, this is my birth country, and people are supposed to understand my thought, my happiness, or my sadness.

I waited impatiently for the day of my first reunion with former 12B1 classmates of Võ Tr߶ng Toän High School. The meeting was held at the house of a fellow named Tña. We were happy to see each other: Thông B, Truy«n, Trúc, S½n, Trung, Giang, and Ðông. As we all sat around a sumptuous meal full of local delicacies in our country, we talked a lot about our past days, the events of our country, our family, and shared news about the absentees.

Last but not least, the reunion gave my former 12B1 classmates and me a chance to relive some of our missing sentiment 25 years ago. I hope that my other former 12B1 classmates would find time to do the same.
